Far too often, our victims are forgotten and the focus is placed on the perpetrator. Our victims are more than statistics. They are wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, children, brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, and neighbors whose lives we will forever cherish.
Berks County Commissioners Meeting
In Remembrance
The Remembrance Quilt has been displayed September 25th, During A National Day of Remembrance Events to be held at The Mineral Spring Park S. 19th Street (Behind East Ends Athletic Assn.) Reading, PA
You are invited to create a memory in honor of a homicide victim. The memory is one piece of fabric, measuring 11 inches by 11 inches. The center 10 inch by 10 inch, will contain the memory section. The remaining half inch on all four sides will be used to attach the memory to the face of our quilt. The memory does not need backing, nor does it need to be hemmed. It will then be hand quilted into our Remembrance Quilt.
The Hand-Made Remembrance Quilt, tenderly crafted by family and friends, whose lives have been forever changed; Stands as a living testimony of a Survivors ongoing Courage, Strength and the Inspiration of each precious life ~ taken due to a criminal act.

If you would like to honor a homicide victim with a memory square for the Remembrance quilt and can not make one - we will create one for you. For a donation to Years of Tears, we will paint on fabric with stencils the name of the victim - date of birth and death. For more information, please write Brenda or Cindy Brenda@yearsoftears.org or Cindy@yearsoftears.org
Would you like to help? We are looking for volunteers to help us create 'memory squares' for homicide victims who may not have family. We would greatly appreciate your help! Please write Brenda@yearsoftears.org or Cindy@yearsoftears.org Thank you!
